Hareline's Intruder Feather Prop Hackle is very similar to a turkey flat, and is a must-have material for tying intruder style flies for steelhead and salmon. They are great at holding fibers in place and giving you that cupping feather effect. It also adds translucency to your flies because as it props up the rhea or ostrich on your intruder, you can see through it, which allows a bright body to still be visible through the hair.
