Midge Flash is a micro version of the popular fly tying material Krystal Flash. This small-diameter twisted mylar flash is a popular choice when tying midge dry flies and nymph patterns when you need that added sparkle. Many saltwater fly tiers use Midge Flash for bonefish flies and small saltwater streamers. Midge Flash is a versatile fly tying material and is available in a ton of fish-attracting colors. Try a few colors out and see how much of a difference it can make. We can't recommend this stuff enough!

Hareline Midge Flash

This midge flash is great for shucks, ribbing or even body material on very small flies. It does not look bulky at all and adds flash to many midge patterns. For the price you get a ton of material and the colors are great too. Be carful that the material does not get stretched so it does not become twisted and knotted with itself.

Perfect Flash for Midges!

I'd been using regular Krystal Flash when needed for my midges. It worked OK usually, more or less, but thought I'd try the midge version in pearl. Very pleasantly surprised at the result. The shorter, thinner version really makes the job easier and effective. So much so, that I'm ordering more colors.
