PolarFlash Flashabou is a fly tying material with micro nylon filamints that are tightly wrapped around Flashabou for increased strength, sparkle, and flash. An excellent flash material for tying wings, tails, ribbing, and body material on both fresh and saltwater fly patterns. Incorporate PolarFlash into your streamers, bucktails, and spinnerbaits to see a noticeable increase in catch rate. Also great for adding to your winter steelhead and salmon patterns! PolarFlash is available in a ton of fish-attracting colors, so we recommending buying a few colors to see what the fish are biting on. The fish love this stuff and you will too!

Polar Flash

I've been using Polar Flash for several years and without a doubt it's the best flash material for both fresh and saltwater applications. All the color variations incorporate very well into any tailing or winging application. It is an easy to use and very manageable as well as durable material. I have found it very useful as a body material. Three to six strands wrapped around the hook shank and sealed with a UV cured cement creates a much smoother and flashier body than traditional Mylar or tinsel. Lighter color variations will take on the color highlights of the other materials in the fly as well. For my $$$ you can't have enough Polar Flash in your tying crib.
